U.S. Census:
The Sacramento Public Library takes requests for census microfilm through Interlibrary Loan. There is a fee of $5 for this service, and microfilm must be viewed at the library. Census microfilm may also be ordered through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Family History Center in Carmichael. Census microfilm for the state of California is available at the California History Room, a division of the California State Library. Census records for states other than California are available in microfilm at the Sutro Library, located in San Francisco. Complete census records are available at the National Archives, Pacific Sierra Region, in San Bruno, California.
